amazing sight
Normally the MetroMover looks like this:
Every once in a while, especially on the Inner Loop, you will see two cars strung together, the better to cope with the burgeoning throngs of commuters.
And once in a blue moon, you will get treated to the sight of a two-car Inner Loop MetroMover arriving at a station at exactly the same time as a two-car Omni Loop MetroMover. Together they give you a special sensation as you stand there up on the elevated open-air platform. You feel surrounded and protected. For a second.
It is hard to tear myself away from this sight in time to actually board the car. And once I get it together to leave the platform, how do I possibly choose which car to board? So many choices! Four! Or two, actually! More like one if you want to avoid that smelly guy!
5 strap-hangers:
very cool.
are the new cars ever combined with the old ones.
and if so, are they friendly to eachother.
i'ld appreciate any other help or comments you have on my bloggy attempt: http://www.benjiplanning.blogspot.com/
What a good question you ask!
I have not yet come across a mixed-generation two-car MetroMover. I hope that it's not because the older carpeted ones refused to play nicely with the newer linoleum ones. If I ever see one hitched to the other, I'm going to break out into a rousing medley from West Side Story!
i don't smell THAT bad, do i?
not YOU, Francis. You smell like flowers.
wow. miami IS crowded! all the people... but i can't see the smelly guy. is he off camera?
